First 3 months of 2022 witness a decrease in stainless steel melt shop production by 3.8% year-on-year to 14.5 million metric tons

According to the figures released by World Stainless Association, the first three months of 2022 show that the stainless steel melt shop production has decreased by 3.8% year–on–year to 14.5 million metric tons. However, in terms of Asia’s figures, barring China and South Korea, the stainless steel melt shop production increased by 4.1 % year-on-year to 19.5 million metric tons.
