European Mn flake market weighs impact of China woes

European manganese flake market is monitoring potential knock-on effects of COVID-19 restrictions and currency depreciations in China, in an effort to anticipate near and medium-term price direction in Europe. Weak domestic demand from China’s 200 series stainless steel segment pushed the heavily inflated market into a downward trajectory from late February until early April, since when prices have largely stabilised.
