Super Duplex
What is Super Duplex Stainless Steel?
Super Duplex stainless steel is a high-performance alloy that contains a balanced mix of austenite and ferrite phases, along with elevated levels of chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen. This composition provides excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, especially in chloride-rich environments.
Common Super Duplex Stainless Steel Grades
Jindal Stainless offers the UNS S32760 Super Duplex grade, which is engineered for high strength and exceptional corrosion resistance. It performs reliably in extreme environments where both mechanical durability and corrosion resistance are critical. This grade also features excellent weldability and structural integrity, making it ideal for a wide range of pressure handling systems and corrosive media.
