National, September 30, 2026: Jindal Stainless, India’s leading stainless steel manufacturer, has contributed to the structural reinforcement of Sadhana Bhawan at Shri Kripalu Dham in Mangarh, Uttar Pradesh. The new stainless steel structural system is designed to work alongside the original structure without altering its architectural character or the experience of devotees.
Founded in 1965 by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, Shri Kripalu Dham has evolved into a spiritual centre that draws devotees from across India and the world. The campus is anchored by the marble Bhakti Mandir and a charitable hospital that treats hundreds of patients a day, without any cost. Sadhana Bhawan, the campus’ meditation and assembly hall, has been an integral part of this journey, hosting large congregations and spiritual gatherings over the years.

The reinforcement approach focused on strengthening the structure from within rather than rebuilding it. The new system is designed to share the load with the original structure, providing additional strength. Jindal Stainless facilitated the supply over 160 tonnes of especially-fabricated building components like load-bearing columns, beams, and cross girders through its subsidiary company, Jindal Stainless Steelway Limited (JSSL). Hot Rolled Annealed and Pickled (HRAP) plates of Stainless Steel grade 304L, manufactured at Jindal Stainless plants, was used for this project. This end-to-end supply ecosystem has been one of the key strengths of Jindal Stainless in bringing such projects to life.
Commenting on the initiative, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Mr Abhyuday Jindal said, “The reinforcement of Sadhana Bhawan demonstrates how advanced stainless steel solutions can strengthen ageing structures while preserving their original character and architectural heritage. Our contribution to this project reflects Jindal Stainless’ commitment to enabling durable, long-term, ready-to-use solutions through stainless steel. We are honoured to have contributed towards a project of such significance.”
Grade 304L was selected for its suitability for the indoor, non-marine and non-industrial environment, offering a combination of strength, corrosion resistance and durability. Its high strength-to-weight characteristics enabled the structural reinforcement to provide the required support without adding unnecessary bulk. The material’s fabrication flexibility also facilitated its integration with the existing structure while meeting the project’s preservation requirements. The project was undertaken in collaboration with the Jagad Guru Kripalu Parishad team, which served as the design consultant. Jindal Stainless served as the material and technical partner for the project.
