Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Limited receives International Safety Award from British Safety Council for the second consecutive year

Jindal Stainless bags International Safety Award 2021

New Delhi, August 10, 2021: Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Limited (JSHL) has been awarded the renowned ‘International Safety Award 2021 Merit’ by UK-based British Safety Council for the second time in a row. The globally distinguished award recognizes organizations’ commitment to exemplary health, safety, and well-being management. This award acknowledges the various steps taken by JSHL throughout CY2020 to ensure world-class safety standards at its workplace, while withstanding the adverse impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.

Commenting on this accomplishment, Managing Director, JSHL, Mr Abhyuday Jindal said, “Second consecutive recognition by the British Safety Council is testimony to our determination towards ensuring the best safety standards in the manufacturing industry. I congratulate my team at JSHL for setting the bar high despite unparalleled challenges in the fight against COVID. JSHL not only ensured safety within its premises, but also helped strengthen the health infrastructure within the state of Haryana during the pandemic.”

At JSHL, safety is an organizational culture and the Company promotes both occupational and personal safety practices. While the pandemic posed new challenges in terms of safety protocols for the employees, the Company ensured intensive adherence to COVID guidelines and protocols across its manufacturing locations. JSHL proactively adopted a flexible working model of for its employees and plant workers in order to maintain social distancing.

The Company also announced a policy to extend all-round support to immediate family members of all employees, including those working in its subsidiaries. It is supporting inoculation drives for over 35,000 employees and their families across various locations.
