Jindal Stainless’ Facilities in Jajpur and Mundra earn global recognition at British Safety Council International Safety Awards 2026

New Delhi/ Jajpur/ Mundra, June 19, 2026: As a testament to its commitment to building a culture of safety and operational excellence across its manufacturing ecosystem, Jindal Stainless’ Jajpur plant and facility in Mundra, Chromeni Steels Limited, have been recognised at the prestigious British Safety Council International Safety Awards 2026.

The awards recognise organisations that demonstrate a strong commitment to protecting the health, safety, and wellbeing of their workforce through robust systems, leadership commitment, and continuous improvement in workplace safety practices.

Jindal Stainless’ Jajpur unit received the Distinction Award, one of the highest levels of recognition under the programme, reflecting the unit’s sustained efforts towards strengthening safety systems, fostering a safe work environment, and advancing its goal of zero accidents.

Chromeni Steels Limited, Mundra, was recognised in the Merit category for demonstrating strong safety practices and commitment towards health, safety, and employee wellbeing across its operations

The British Safety Council International Safety Awards are among the world’s most recognised workplace safety honours, evaluating organisations on their ability to effectively manage health, safety, and well-being risks while fostering a proactive safety culture.

The recognition follows a series of recent accolades received by Jindal Stainless for operational excellence and manufacturing performance. Earlier this year, the company’s Hisar and Jajpur units were honoured at the IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award (RBNQA) 2025, reaffirming Jindal Stainless’ focus on strong systems, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement across its operations.
