Jindal Stainless equips Haryana Polytechnic faculty with industry-ready stainless steel skills

  • Programme supports the development of a future-ready workforce for India’s growing manufacturing ecosystem

Hisar, August 18, 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to strengthening industry-academia collaboration and building a future-ready workforce, Jindal Stainless’ Hisar unit, under the Company’s education and skilling initiative, successfully conducted two batches of its three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme for faculty members from Government Polytechnic Colleges across Haryana under the Stainless Steel Elective Course initiative.

Faculty members participated in two residential training batches held from July 23-25 and July 29-31. The programme comprised two days of classroom learning followed by a one-day visit to Jindal Stainless’ Hisar manufacturing facility, enabling participants to gain first-hand exposure to advanced stainless steel manufacturing processes, applications and industry practices.

The training covered all five modules of the Stainless Steel Elective Course, equipping faculty members with the technical knowledge and practical insights required to effectively deliver the curriculum to students.

Speaking on the initiative, Unit Head – Hisar, Jindal Stainless, Mr Vijay Kumar Bindlish, said, “India’s manufacturing ambitions require a strong pipeline of industry-ready talent, with faculty members playing a pivotal role in shaping future engineers. Through our partnership with the Haryana State Board of Technical Education, we are equipping educators with relevant technical knowledge and practical exposure to bring industry perspectives into the classroom. The Training of Trainers programme will strengthen technical education while enabling greater awareness of the diverse applications and opportunities offered by stainless steel across industries.”

The programme follows the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Jindal Stainless’ Stainless Academy and the Haryana State Board of Technical Education (HSBTE) in May 2026, aimed at continuing the Stainless Steel Elective Course for mechanical engineering students in government polytechnic colleges across the state.

The Stainless Steel Elective Course is part of a range of curriculum-focused initiatives aimed at building a future-ready blue- and white-collar workforce for the stainless steel ecosystem. Through industry-aligned curricula, faculty development programmes, specialised courses for engineering institutions, polytechnics and ITIs, and fabrication training programmes for MSMEs and fabricators, the initiative aims to strengthen technical capabilities and enhance employability across the value chain.
