National, August 09, 2026: Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Nayab Singh Saini, inaugurated the newly constructed building complex at O. P. Jindal Modern School (OPJMS) in Hisar today. The event was attended by Chairperson Emeritus, Jindal Group and Hon’ble MLA, Hisar, Smt Savitri Jindal; Chairman, Jindal Stainless, Mr Ratan Jindal; Managing Director, Jindal Lifestyle and Chairperson, School Managing Committee, Mrs Deepika Jindal; Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Mr Abhyuday Jindal; and Principal, O. P. Jindal Modern School, Ms Nandita Sahu. Promoted by Jindal Stainless, the OPJMS is a senior secondary, English-medium day school that was founded in the year 1997.
Commemorating the 96th birth anniversary of renowned philanthropist and industrialist Late Shri O. P. Jindal Ji, the founding father of OPJMS, the programme commenced with a ceremonial welcome by the school’s NCC Band, followed by a tree plantation drive led by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, members of the Jindal family and other dignitaries. The Hon’ble Chief Minister thereafter inaugurated UTKARSH, the school’s new Administrative Block; UDAY, the Academic Block dedicated to children with special needs; and UDGAM, an international-standard indoor swimming pool. The centrally air-conditioned auditorium, UTSAV, was inaugurated amidst Vedic chanting and the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble Chief Minister lauded the contributions of Late Shri O. P. Jindal Ji, describing him as a visionary industrialist and philanthropist whose legacy continues to inspire generations. He appreciated the Jindal family’s sustained commitment to education and nation-building and commended OPJMS for fostering a progressive and inclusive learning environment, particularly its efforts towards empowering children with special needs. He encouraged students to embrace innovation, creativity and skill development, while highlighting the Haryana government’s focus on strengthening higher education and creating opportunities for youth to compete at the national and global level.

The event was followed by another engaging session in the evening – Manthan, with a lecture by BK E.V. Gireesh Bhai, affiliated with the Brahma Kumaris.
