National, September 22, 2026: Jindal Stainless, India’s leading stainless steel manufacturer, has received dual recognition at the CII National Award for Excellence in Energy Management 2026, with its Jajpur and Hisar manufacturing units being honoured for their contributions to energy efficiency and sustainable operations. The awards recognise the company’s ongoing efforts to integrate energy-efficient technologies, process innovation, and resource optimisation across its manufacturing operations.
The Jajpur unit was conferred the ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Organization’ Award, while the Hisar unit received the ‘Excellent Energy-Efficient Unit’ Award at the ceremony held in Hyderabad from September 16–18, 2026. Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the awards recognise organisations demonstrating excellence in energy management, conservation, innovation, and sustainable industrial practices.
The recognition reinforces Jindal Stainless’ commitment to embedding energy efficiency within its manufacturing operations and advancing its long-term decarbonisation roadmap.

The Jajpur unit’s recognition acknowledges its sustained efforts to optimise energy consumption, deploy resource-efficient technologies, enhance process efficiencies, and strengthen environmentally responsible operations. These initiatives support the unit’s efforts to improve operational performance while contributing to the company’s broader decarbonisation and sustainability objectives.
At the Hisar unit, a key component of the evaluation was the presentation of its energy management case study before a distinguished jury panel. The presentation highlighted the plant’s integrated approach to energy efficiency through technology adoption, renewable energy integration, waste heat recovery systems, fuel substitution, process optimisation, and employee-led conservation initiatives. Together, these measures support energy conservation, greenhouse gas emission reduction, productivity enhancement, and improved resource efficiency.
The dual recognition highlights Jindal Stainless’ continued focus on strengthening its manufacturing capabilities through operational excellence and responsible resource management.
