Hisar, August 11, 2026: Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hisar, managed by Jindal Stainless, concluded the 33rd edition of the Jindal Art Festival (JAF 2026), bringing together nearly 450 students from 22 schools across India for a two-day celebration of art, culture and creativity.
The festival served as a national platform for students from across the country, to showcase their talent while encouraging cultural exchange, creative expression and appreciation of India’s rich artistic traditions. Participating IPSC schools represented diverse regions of the country, including Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
Students competed across a wide spectrum of disciplines spanning visual arts, traditional crafts, photography, Indian classical and folk dance, Western and contemporary music, painting, printmaking, mural art, sculpture and textile art. The festival also featured an exhibition of artworks created during the competitions, offering visitors a glimpse into the creativity and technical skills demonstrated by the participants.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Mr Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, a contemporary Indian artist with a career spanning over three decades. Addressing the gathering, Mr Srivastava said that art draws its inspiration from nature and human emotions, adding that participation itself is an achievement. He emphasised that artistic pursuits play an important role in nurturing creativity, leadership qualities and holistic personality development among young learners.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal, Vidya Devi Jindal School, Ms Naina Dhillon, said, “The Jindal Art Festival is much more than a competition. It is a platform where students from diverse backgrounds come together to learn from one another, celebrate India’s artistic diversity and express themselves creatively. Such experiences help young minds develop confidence, empathy and a deeper appreciation of different cultures.”
She further observed that in an age increasingly shaped by Artificial Intelligence, art, music and dance have become even more significant as expressions of human creativity and emotion.
Participating schools included Delhi Public School, Pathankot; The Lawrence School, Sanawar; Mayo College, Ajmer; Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, Jaipur; Pinegrove School, Solan; Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun; Rajkumar College, Rajkot; Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School, Jodhpur; Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior; Modi School, Lakshmangarh; The Punjab Public School, Nabha; Yadavindra Public School, Patiala; The Sanskaar Valley School, Bhopal; N.C. Jindal Public School, Delhi; O.P. Jindal Modern School, Hisar; schools from the Sunbeam Group; and the host institution, Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hisar, among others.
The Overall Trophy of the 33rd Jindal Art Festival was awarded to Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior and the winners across individual categories were felicitated by Mr Srivastava during the closing ceremony.
