Jindal Stainless brings together 160+ participants through sports activities under Parivartan in Ladwa

Hisar, September 11, 2026: Jindal Stainless, under its CSR programme Parivartan, brought together 160+ participants in Ladwa through a series of sports and recreational activities organised in collaboration with the Ladwa Panchayat. The event, held to commemorate National Sports Day, saw participation from 100+ youth and 60+ community members, including women, senior citizens, Panchayat representatives and other members, creating a common platform for sports, fitness and community participation.

The event featured three inter-village matches in Under-17 handball (girls and boys) and Under-19 kabaddi (boys), with teams from Singharan, Bithmada and Sisai villages participating alongside Ladwa teams. Ladwa won all three matches. Eight women and eight senior citizens also participated in 80-metre races, while Panchayat members took part in a tug-of-war against the Panchayat handball team. Naveen Poonia, vice-captain of the Indian Handball Team, and Ramphal Poonia, Sarpanch, Ladwa, were among those present and distributed trophies to winning teams and certificates to participants.

The initiative forms part of Parivartan, Jindal Stainless’ integrated rural development programme in Ladwa to benefit approximately 7,500-8,000 residents through initiatives focused on healthcare, education, livelihoods, women empowerment, and environmental sustainability. Through sports and recreational activities, the programme also seeks to bring communities together, encourage teamwork and strengthen interaction between residents of Ladwa and neighbouring villages.
