Hisar, December 05, 2025: The Hisar unit of Jindal Stainless, India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer, has been awarded the first prize in the “Innovation / New Technologies / R&D Projects” category at the State Level Energy Conservation Awards (SLECA) 2024. The award event was organised by the Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA), Department of New and Renewable Energy, Haryana. The award was formally presented by Shri A.K. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy), Haryana, and Dr. Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director General, Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
This award reinforces the organisation’s strong technical foundation & capabilities and its commitment to sustainable manufacturing. It reflects Jindal Stainless Hisar’s sustained efforts in developing and deploying innovative technologies, enhancing energy efficiency, and driving measurable reductions in energy consumption across critical industrial processes.
Speaking on the achievement, Jindal Stainless, Managing Director, Mr Abhyuday Jindal, said, “It is an honour to receive this prestigious award from HAREDA. The ceremony took place at Hyatt Regency, Industrial Area Phase I, Chandigarh recently. The event witnessed participation from leading organisations across major industrial sectors, including fertilizers, automotive manufacturing, energy solutions and services, polymer and plastics manufacturing, and large-scale petroleum refining.
Under SLECA, applicants are assessed on multiple parameters such as energy performance, audits, investments in energy efficiency, adoption of green building protocols, and innovation in resource management. SLECA aims to promote sustainable energy practices and reward organisations that are consistent with the broader national push for energy conservation.
