The Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with
ten universally accepted principles
in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. By doing so, businesses, as primary drivers of globalization, can help ensure that markets, commerce, technology, and finance advance in ways that benefit economies and societies everywhere.
Jindal Stainless is the signatory to the UN Global Compact (UNGC) network and Global Compact Network India (GCNI) and abides by their principles. As part of the GCNI, Jindal Stainless has taken up a leadership role in the Human Rights Committee as the Convener. Through this committee, various awareness generation programmes have been organized on Business and Human Rights.
Our CSR efforts have also been focused on bringing other industry members to engage in a dialogue toward fulfillment of the agenda through the Global Compact Network.
