The story of a Sabita Patra, who started with a Self Help Group facilitated by Jindal Stainless, and has gone on to become the bread winner for her family

Sabita Patra is from a tribal community in Odisha and lives with her husband and two children. Her association with Jindal Stainless Foundation started around a decade ago, under the fold of women empowerment project, where she was also a part of a self help group (SHG). An eager learner, apart from the regular SHG meetings, she got herself enrolled in different skill training courses in Hudisahi village to upgrade her knowledge and skills.

Always supported by Jindal Stainless Foundation, Sabita gained enough confidence to start her own independent business. She opened a general store in the year 2020. This store has now become a source of stable income for her and her family.
